On April 3, 2026, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) successfully organized an academic seminar with the participation of professors from the School of Pharmacy, Kitasato University (Japan), along with the leadership board of the TDTU Faculty of Pharmacy.

At the seminar, attendees had the opportunity to listen to presentations by:

• Professor Ohshiro on the topic: “Discovery of Novel Bioactive Compounds from Microbial Sources.”
• Professor Tomoda on the topic: “Challenges in Drug Discovery: From the Search for Lipid-Lowering Agents.”

The seminar provided a valuable opportunity for lecturers, staff, and students of the Faculty of Pharmacy to access advanced research directions, as well as to gain practical insights from international experts.

Through this program, students were able to develop a clearer perspective on scientific research activities, thereby enhancing their awareness, shaping their academic orientation, and accumulating experience for their future careers.

The presence of the Faculty’s leadership board and international experts contributed to making the seminar a meaningful academic event, fostering research collaboration and development in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
