In August 2019, Ton Duc Thang University was ranked No. 1 in Vietnam and ranked among the Top 1000 leading universities in the world by the ARWU (Academic Ranking of World Universities). One of the important criteria for ranking universities is the quality of scientific research, which is shown not only in the number of international publications in prestigious journals of the world (in the list of ISI or Scopus), but also in the quality and value of research products. A quality research product must ensure the integrity, and one of the violations of scientific ethics which are called "plagiarism", whether accidentally or intentionally.

Ton Duc Thang University Library plays role as the heart of the University, has many services related to research support such as: Providing academic information for research (research data / data, list bibliography, full text of the document), language support (translation,...), bibliography (published journals suggested, providing magazine/article/ author assessment indicators), organizing training courses on scientific research and using tools in research, plagiarism examination for international publication, ...

At the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year, the Library collaborates with the Department for Management of Science and Technology Development to organize seminars to share the benefits, as well as how to use the Plagiarism Testing Service for international publication. This service is aimed at helping the researcher take the initiative in controlling the level of overlap in the content of the research paper with other previously published studies, limiting the risk of plagiarism violations and increasing the acceptability of the research paper. The seminar is attracted many researchers to attend, share information as well as experience on situations related to plagiarism violations.
