At 2:00 PM on September 22, 2020, in the Meeting Room on the 5th Floor of the Library Building at Ton Duc Thang University, the Faculty of Pharmacy organized an online academic exchange program with Chulalongkorn University.

The event was attended by:

• Sornkanok Vimolmangkang, Associate Professor, Ph.D., Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand;
• Dr. Nguyen Truong Huy, Acting Head of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ton Duc Thang University;
• Eight lecturers and thirty students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ton Duc Thang University;
• Nine students from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.

The exchange program provided an excellent opportunity for both institutions to enhance their understanding of medicinal plants, herbal medicines, and methods for evaluating biological activities through the following presentations:

Title: Overview and Applications of Vietnamese Ginseng (Panax vietnamensis)

The presentation introduced the characteristics, medicinal value, and potential applications of Vietnamese Ginseng, one of Vietnam’s most valuable medicinal plants.

Associate Professor Sornkanok Vimolmangkang
Title: Overview of Cannabis Research

The presentation provided an overview of current research on cannabis, including its biological properties, medicinal applications, and recent scientific developments.

This academic exchange served as an important foundation for the Faculty of Pharmacy to organize additional online academic programs in the future, enabling students to gain broader knowledge, share experiences, and learn from experts and peers across the region and around the world.
