Pharmacy Students Win First and Third Prizes at the TDTU Student Startup Idea Competition for the 2024–2025 Academic Year

On April 16, 2025, the Final Round of the Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) Student Startup Idea Competition for the 2024–2025 Academic Year was held at Ton Duc Thang University, featuring the participation of the ten most outstanding projects.

Speaking at the Final Round, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Son, Vice President of TDTU, emphasized:

"Over the years, the University has paid great attention to innovation and entrepreneurship through a wide range of practical activities for students. This academic year, the University continues to organize the TDTU Student Startup Idea Competition 2024–2025 to further promote the entrepreneurial spirit among students. Whether large or small, every startup idea is valuable as it reflects the dynamism, creativity, ambition, and determination of Ton Duc Thang University students who dare to challenge themselves and bring their unique ideas into reality."

This year’s competition attracted numerous innovative and creative projects. After successfully overcoming two challenging preliminary rounds, ten teams advanced to the Final Round. In the final stage, participants competed through project presentations and defense sessions, where they responded to questions from the judging panel regarding their startup ideas and business models.

The final results were as follows:

🏆 A team of students from the Faculty of Pharmacy won the First Prize with their startup project “Ngoc Viet Ginseng Tea”, receiving a cash prize of VND 10 million and a Certificate of Merit from the President of TDTU.

🥉 The Third Prize was awarded to another team from the Faculty of Pharmacy for their project “Morus Essence – Skincare Products from Morus alba, receiving a cash prize of VND 5 million and a Certificate of Merit from the President of TDTU.

The TDTU Student Startup Idea Competition 2024–2025 serves as an important platform for students to apply academic knowledge to real-world challenges, explore entrepreneurial activities, gain practical experience, and demonstrate their capabilities and creativity. The competition also provides strong motivation for students to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations and reflects the University's commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among its students.

The Faculty of Pharmacy would like to extend its sincere congratulations to all students involved in these startup projects. We hope that these initiatives will continue to grow and be successfully commercialized, bringing meaningful benefits to community health. The Faculty also encourages Pharmacy students to continue embracing an entrepreneurial mindset, daring to think creatively and act boldly in developing innovative projects and products that contribute positively to society.
