1. Functions and Duties

The Animal Research Ethics Committee of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU-AEC) was established under Decision No. 2657/QĐ-TĐT dated August 20, 2024, by the President of Ton Duc Thang University. The committee operates to support the review, evaluation, and assessment of ethical aspects of research involving animals, ensuring that the rights of animals used in research are protected in compliance with the Veterinary Law 2015 and the Livestock Law 2018.

2. Organizational and Operational Regulations

The organizational and operational regulations of the Animal Research Ethics Committee of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU-AEC) were issued under Decision No. 2064/QĐ-TĐT dated June 27, 2024.

3. Committee Members

The first-term (2024-2027) Animal Research Ethics Committee of Ton Duc Thang University, as per Decision No. 2657/QĐ-TĐT dated August 20, 2024, comprises the following members:

4. Submission of Documents

Applicants must provide all required documents in accordance with regulations for ethical evaluation in animal research. The application dossier includes:

a) Request for approval to use animals for scientific purposes (Appendix 1);
b) Scientific curriculum vitae of the principal investigator and key researchers (Appendix 2).

The applicant must complete the dossier and submit one electronic copy to the committee secretary’s email and contact the secretary to submit a hard copy.
